Hi, I’m Chris Lange.

I’m an artist based in Washington, D.C., working in the medium of vintage print collage. Since 2007, my work has focused on transforming the artifacts of classic gaming culture into lasting, one-of-a-kind art.

Every piece I create is built entirely by hand using original, torn scraps of vintage Nintendo Power magazines. The process is slow and intentional: I spend hours hunting for the exact shades, textures, and ink gradients within the original pages, tearing each fragment to shape, and layering them to build an entirely new composition from the ground up.

At its heart, my work is about the evocative power of nostalgia. I portray the characters that defined our formative adventures, capturing the spirit of the stories we grew up with. When you live with one of these pieces, my hope is that it acts as a daily portal back to those moments—gathering around the screen with friends and family, immersed in worlds that shaped who we became.

Thank you for exploring the collection. I hope you find a piece of the adventure to bring home.
